Teacher: Hilary Morsey, 3rd Grade
Hilary Morsey is a 3rd grade teacher at Stone Canyon elementary. A few years ago, she received a flexible seating grant from OEF.
“Every year, my kids LOVE the flexible seating options I was awarded through an OEF grant” said Morsey. “These seats help my students concentrate, and increase their focus by allowing them to wiggle and move as they need. I am thankful to be able to provide wobble stools, wiggle cushions and yoga balls as an excellent alternative to traditional seating. Thank you, OEF!”
One student said “I really love the wobble stool because I get to wiggle around on it when I’m working, and it’s way more comfortable than a regular chair!”
Anolther student stated “I like sitting on the yoga ball because it’s comfortable, and when I’m stressed I can bounce on it a few times and it helps me concentrate on my work.
The wiggle cushion is placed in a regular chair and lets the students move while sitting.
